Breaking: FINISHED AGREEMENT, Bayern Munich sign Liverpool’s Sadio Mane + transfer fee

Great news from Sky Sports. According to them, Bayern Munich is set to bid 50 million euros (around 42.5 million pounds) for Liverpool striker Sadio Mane. The Senegalese star has been identified by the Bavarians as a top target this summer, and it seems that the bosses have found it necessary to pay generously to secure his services.

Today should always be a big day for the Mane transfer, as many reputable Liverpool journalists have reported details of a new bid submitted this Friday. According to Paul Joyce of The Times, a delegation from Munich was to meet in Liverpool for face-to-face talks today, apparently regarding the Mane transfer. Per Joyce, the fact that the English club was prepared to meet Salihamidzic for talks, indicates that they are willing to move forward with the transfer.

Between these reports, we can assume that Bayern Munich actually raised their bid, but it remains to be seen whether € 50 million is accurate. This would make the deal exaggerated by Bayern standards – 30 years old, Sadio Mane would be the club’s third most expensive signing after Lucas Hernandez and Leroy Sane. Given that his salary package is also expected to be huge, this shows the Bayern bosses’ belief in the Senegalese star.

So where do we go from here? If this is the bid Liverpool wanted, then expect things to go very quickly. Hopefully the saga will not drag out any longer, and Julian Nagelsmann will get his preferred goal early enough to join the team for the preseason. With Robert Lewandowski agitating for a move to Barcelona this summer, the signing of a statement by Sadio Mane could calm the entire Bayern Munich line-up – managers, coaches, players and fans – calmly.

Update

Romano himself says that it is only a matter of time.

In particular, he has not yet confirmed the transfer fee.

Update # 2

Plettenberg says it is a complete deal, and for less than € 40 million!

Update # 3

Here is Paul Joyce’s report on the transfer fee. His sources are directly from LFC, so do not expect the fee to be higher than this.
