Colorfuls AIO gaming PC tested, has the fastest GeForce RTX 3060 portable GPU

Colorful AIO with RTX 3060 portable GPU

EJ Hardware is testing Colorful’s new AIO gaming system.

The team from the Chinese technology media “EJ Hardware”, has a selection of Colorful G-One Plus AIO gaming PC. This device debuted last month and is now available for sale. This product is an all-in-one gaming system, which means that there is no standard PC chassis here, but a large display stand that hides all the components, except for the power supply (which is actually quite a large 330W unit).

The G-One has a custom motherboard for Intel Alder Lake-H mobile processors and NVIDIA’s RTX 3060 portable GPU. Technically, this is a laptop connected to the monitor. Players cannot replace the processor or GPU, but standard DDR5 memory SO-DIMM slots are here. Furthermore, users can upgrade the PC with a secondary M.2 SSD and replace M.2 Wi-Fi cards if ever needed.

The AIO PC comes with three Alder Lake CPUs: Core i5-12500H (12-cores), Core i7-12700H (14-cores) or Core i9-12900H. The system tested by EJ Hardware has Core i5-12500H, so the lowest specified version. The graphics, on the other hand, are the same for each configuration. This is the full-power Max-P variant of the GeForce RTX 3060 portable graphics (ie 115W + Dynamic Boost). In stress tests, this GPU reaches 134W max short power.

Colorful G-One has been tested in synthetic and gaming benchmarks (the latter can be found by watching the video below). The CPU works exactly as expected for a laptop with similar specifications, but the GPU is a slightly different story.

In the 3DMark test, the PC scores 26,793 points in the FireStrike GPU test, which is even better than the Core i7-12700H-based AUS TUF Laptop with RTX 3060 GPU (23,109 points) according to the NotebookCheck ranking. This is actually the highest score reported by the site.

This is an interesting product (but not entirely new) concept. Game-compatible AIO PCs can be used where space is limited, but a larger screen is still preferable. A student dormitory or online cafes may be the first thing that comes to mind. The system tested by EJ costs 1999 USD, so much more than the typical RTX 3060 laptop these days.
