Some Assassin’s Creed fans think Ubisoft either purposefully leaked one Assassin’s Creedremake or tease a remake of the original game that started it all. The most stylish know that Assassin’s Creed 2 is the best Assassin’s Creed through the ages, with fraternity and Black flag gives it a run for its money. That said, many fans have a lot of nostalgia after the first game, even though it’s rough around the edges and a noticeably inferior product compared to its immediate successor. It is also celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, and it looks like Ubisoft may be celebrating this with a new remake or remaster of the game.
As YouTuber AccessTheAnimus points out on Twitter that the new anniversary video Ubisoft launched for the series shows updated photos for the first game. Link this to the fact that it’s the last game to be celebrated in the anniversary roadmap just before the new Assassin’s Creed Special Event later this year, and that’s enough to make some fans speculate. Putting petrol on the fire is also the logo change.

If Ubisoft were to make money on the older games in the series again, or more specifically, the first game, it would probably be a remake as it has remastered the older titles quite recently. That said, there have been no rumors or rumors that this has happened, and with that in mind Assassin’s Creed leak in advance through rumors and leaks, it is strange that there has been nothing about a remake of the first game.
If Ubisoft makes the first game again, it will also highlight how enormously different the series used to be. The series used to be much more linear and stealth-driven. Now it’s an action role-playing game in the open world with minimal stealth. Of course, some prefer this change, but there are many fans who miss Assassin’s Creed from previous years.
For now, take all this speculation with a pinch of salt. As for Ubisoft, it has not addressed this speculation in any way. We do not expect this to change for a number of reasons, but if it does, we will make sure to update the history accordingly.
